Old Fashion Fund Raising
I have discovered that people will help organizations if they can get something, anything, back in return. So, to increase awareness about my organization, I have decided to fund raise the old fashion way; selling lunches to indiviuals and businesses. The menu is pretty for those that like fish and chicken on Fridays, but for those that want a little more "meal" during their Friday lunch hour, I added lasagna. Now this fund raiser is not just to raise funds to keep the organization functional and implement the programs for debt elimination and scholarships, but it is to help open the eyes of the community about what is going on, on our front porches! This is a fund raiser that churches would do to help increase attendance on Sunday and make people aware of the goodness of the Lord. I believe all people (Christian or not) have a want to help others, but something want something back in return. Why not a good meal for a good cause? |
